ON MY 9TH BIRTHDAY, I HOPED FOR AN ABUNDANCE OF BIRTHDAY GREETINGS.

As I turned 9 years old, my heart swelled with joy and anticipation, eagerly anticipating the influx of birthday congratulations. I envisioned my phone buzzing incessantly with messages and notifications, each one brimming with warm wishes and heartfelt sentiments. However, as the day unfolded, the expected wave of greetings never materialized. Disappointment set in, and I couldn’t help but wonder if I was somehow undeserving of love and celebration. But upon reflecting on the day, I realized that the absence of external recognition doesn’t diminish my worth or the significance of my special day. Birthdays entail more than just the quantity of well-wishes; they provide an opportunity to cherish the love and joy that reside within me and to appreciate the relationships and moments that truly matter. So, even though the birthday congratulations may have been few, I am determined to make this year one filled with self-love, growth, and unforgettable memories.
